Tippett Studios has released a new behind the scenes featurette about recreating the holochess game (Dejarik), first seen in A New Hope in 1977, for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.  The video features legendary animators Phil Tippet, Jon Berg, and Dennis Murren talking about working on the scene back in the 70s and then shows the scene for the Force Awakens being created.  Check it out below,The Force Awakens – Tippett Studio Holochess Stop-Motion Reel from Tippett Studio on Vimeo.
